The Biodiversity project (Complementary Plan: Biodiversity) aims to acquire R&D&I services focused on developing innovative solutions in the areas of biodiversity, security, emergencies, and other public services, through the use of unmanned aerial platforms (UAS, MALE, and HAPS).

The allocated budget is €23.000.000, co-financed by the Ministry of Science and Research, the Government of the Canary Islands, the Fuerteventura Island Council, and the Fuerteventura Technology Park SA, within the framework of the Complementary Plan for Biodiversity, which is part of component 17 of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, called "Institutional reform and capacity building of the National Science, Technology, and Innovation System."
Among these missions, the following are initially planned:
- Fires: Development of innovative solutions for monitoring, controlling, and managing biodiversity in the context of forest fires in different areas of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria.
Biodiversity: monitoring environmental complexes and controlling natural areas such as Isla de Lobos, the Corralejo Dunes Natural Park, and the Jandía Natural Park; as well as monitoring public assets of environmental value, such as the Montaña de Tindaya Natural Monument. - Emergencies and security: support for emergency services and control of critical public infrastructure.
