The Fuerteventura Technology Park is a commitment by the Fuerteventura Island Council to the inclusive and sustainable economic and social development and diversification of the island, through:
- The promotion of R&D&I.
- Attracting projects and investments.
- The drive for entrepreneurship and knowledge.
- The modernization of strategic sectors.
- Public-private cooperation;
- Technological training and capacity building.
- The development of infrastructure, equipment and facilities.
- Digital transformation and the reduction of the digital divide between citizens, companies and public administrations.
The Technology Park covers an area of 735.000 m² dedicated to the development of technology-based initiatives and projects, making it one of the most important innovation and development hubs in the Canary Islands. Of this area, 300.000 m² is fully developed land.
The current Knowledge Promotion and Technology Transfer Building has 64 offices, an assembly hall with capacity for more than 100 people, three multipurpose rooms and a meeting room, as well as cafeteria services.
Fuerteventura Technology Park is home to various national and international companies and startups from the island, as well as being a meeting place for innovation and development projects.
The Fuerteventura Technology Park aims to develop an innovation hub through public-private collaboration, attracting new projects and leading technology companies that benefit regional SMEs and allow talent to be attracted and retained in the Canary Islands.
For this reason, Parque Tecnológico de Fuerteventura is committed to training. Various courses and training sessions are held at its facilities, aimed at, among other things, developing entrepreneurship.
Fuerteventura Technology Park is not only a physical structure that serves as the headquarters of various companies and startups, it also aims to be an ecosystem of innovation and development.
To this end, it develops numerous projects in collaboration with different companies and public entities.
These development projects and actions are normally co-financed by the Cabildo of Fuerteventura, the Government of the Canary Islands, directly or with the Canary Islands Development Fund (FDCAN), by the Government of Spain through the Ministry of Science and Technology and by funds from the European Union through FEDER and/or Next Generation funds.
